#3 Alexis Amegah at the Open 95 (2025)

Entering the event as World No. 9, few expected Alexis Amegah to climb the Saber Tour podium. But fighting on home turf at Sport Saber League  95, Alexis delivered a tournament-defining run.

In a dramatic Round of 16, he knocked out his own father and fellow SSL 95 fighter Aurel Amegah, setting the stage for a clash with Victor Charlu in the Quarter-Finals. 5-4 victory there sent Alexis into the Semis against Guillaume Pevee, where his streak finally ended.

But Alexis wasn’t done yet – in the Third Place Final, he pulled off an incredible upset over World No. 5 Jeremie Pinquier with a commanding 7-3 victory, securing his first-ever Saber Tour medal in stunning fashion.

#2 Aurel Amegah at the Riviera Open (2025)

Aurel Amegah came into the Riviera Open as the 10th ranked fighter worldwide, not at all a medal prediction by anyone’s standards. After losing to Adrien Koch Forbin in the second pool stage, he managed to take down Pierre-Jean Tanguille in the Round of 16, before a dynamic rematch led to Adrien’s elimination in the Quarter-Finals. A mere 1-point margin of victory to Aurel, as the match finished 3-2/

Despite losing his semi-final to Amaury Mouhtajjib, Aurel managed to tie the Bronze medal with World No. 5 Arthur Gautier, truly a shock finish.

#1 Marco Cuomo at the Open De France (2023)

At the Number One spot, we have Marco Cuomo’s astonishing run at the Open de France 2023, it was in the Quarter Finals that he established himself as the fighter to watch, as he eliminated Sebastien Berard, which is still the only Direct Elimination match “The Champ” has ever lost, before or since.

But Marco didn’t stop there, he defeated Guillaume Pevee in the semi finals, by a mere two-point margin.

Then, in the Final, he took on Saber Tour World #2, Amaury Mouhtajjib and won, again by a scarce 2 HP, this victory secured as the only Saber Tour fighter other than Berard to win a Challenger or Major Tournament since the system as we know it was established.
